Very useful given the failure of desktop request on other browsers

It is really astonishing that the forcing of
Desktop mode is so badly supported on standard iOS browsers. Request mode is usually useless. I have a handful of sites I visit that fail to display some information I need in mobile view and has been using Puffin until its demise. So a huge hurrah to the developers of this browser. There is some clumsiness in the interface and the ads in the free version are annoying but I really don't care. I really do not appreciate that having bought a high resolution iPhone capable of displaying huge amounts of detail I am forced to use crippled mobile web sites.

Perfect for real Desktop browsing

I use this for my eBay business. eBay hasn't quite got the app sorted, but this app allows me to control my whole eBay business in full desktop style browsing. Great for marking as dispatched, and managing your seller hub. The best thing about this app, is that it doesn't force to mobile view at all. It stays in full desktop view.. recommended to all

Great for desktop browsing but...

The browser is pretty good at browsing, it does what I want and always gets the desktop site every time - great!
It does have a strange habit of zooming in when the site is loading and seems reluctant to zoom out but I can live with that.
The downside is that the interface is very cluttered, most of the screen is taken up with toolbars, lots of toolbars!
I count 4 when I'm browsing, each mammoth toolbar spans the width of the screen. With all the toolbars there, you pretty much have half the screen left for the website you are viewing. Comparing it size by side with Safari, Firefox and Photon it's got the biggest toolbars by far.
More frustrating is that some of the toolbars only contain one button or buttons that I don't need to see all the time. The interface could easily be put into one toolbar and there's even a button called "Done" to close the window? Strange!
This is ironic, this app is obviously aimed at people who like me value screen real estate wanting the full site and don't want lots of clutter.
I'll be deleting the app for the time being but maybe I'll come back if the interface is tidied up, its a shame, it could have been a brilliant browser but it's been ruined by the interface.
